AI Music, Stolen Voices And The Next Industry Fight

The argument is no longer whether AI can imitate artists. It is who gets paid, who gets erased, and what fans actually want from music.

The argument is no longer whether AI can imitate artists. It is who gets paid, who gets erased, and what fans actually want from music.

AI music is no longer a novelty story. It sits right in the middle of copyright, identity, labour and fan trust.

A cloned voice can sound convincing, but music culture has never been only about sound. It is about bodies, histories, flaws, scenes, grudges and the feeling that someone lived inside the song.

The next industry fight will not be about whether AI can make content. It will be about who gets to call that content music, who gets paid for the raw material and whether listeners feel cheated.
